Ways to Support Food Stash

Nourish our community and give a second chance to good food that would otherwise be wasted. A tax receipt will be emailed to you instantly when you donate online.

Join the Food Stash Sustainers monthly donor club. Your monthly support provides reliable, healthy groceries, while helping the environment.

Volunteering as a team can help strengthen employee engagement, enhance your brand image, and provide a fun opportunity for you to make a difference as a team.

Create a fundraiser to honour a special person or occasion, celebrate your birthday or wedding, team-build, or challenge yourself. Anyone can easily create their own free fundraiser with Canada Helps. Here are some tips!

We’re grateful for partnerships with businesses that share our values and care about our mission. We can work with you to find options that meet your goals for creating impact, team-building, and social responsibility.

A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) is a charitable savings account that lets you flexibly give one-time or recurring gifts to Food Stash and other causes you care about.

Your DAF can accept a wide range of assets like stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and cryptocurrency. Contact your fund administrator, or log into your DAF account and recommend a grant. Charity Number: 748078524RR0001.

A donation of securities or mutual funds allows you to give more and removes the need to pay capital gains taxes.

Consider making the gift of a lifetime to protect our environment and nourish our community into the future. When preparing your will with the help of a lawyer and financial advisor, you can ask them about including a charitable gift or bequest.

Your gift will help us realize our vision of a transformed, sustainable and just food system that supports food access for all and a thriving environment.

When you donate your car, truck, RV, boat, or motorcycle to Food Stash through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction (depending on its condition, age and location). All the details are taken care of for you. Free towing is provided in most areas, or you can drop off your vehicle to maximize your donation. You will receive a tax receipt.

While we aren’t able to collect or accept household food donations, you can run a fundraiser or donate items to our annual spring silent auction. Every dollar raised lets us rescue and provide over $4.50 worth of good food. To donate food, check out the Community Fridge.

You can also host a bottle drive or donate the deposit refunds you earn from returning your recyclables! Simply log in to or create your Return-It account and make Food Stash your charity recipient - you can update this preference any time.

Please do not bring bottles to Food Stash.

Thank you for caring for all the people in our community who need food and to feel loved.
Your devotion feeds my soul and gives me hope for humanity.
